Volunteering Canterbury is an incorporated charitable trust that promotes, supports and upholds the integrity of volunteering. Do you need a volunteer? If you are a not-for-profit non-government organisation or project which involves or requires volunteers, you need to be a registered member of Volunteering Canterbury before we can help you by referring volunteers to you. Contact us to request an organisation registration kit. We need a postal address to send this to you. If you are already a member of Volunteering Canterbury and want to list a new Volunteer Position, you can download a Position Registration Form. Volunteers for special events If you're planning a major event which requires help from a large number of volunteers please contact us EARLY in your planning process so we can discuss how we can best work together. Advocacy services We provide an advocacy service for volunteers and not-for-profit organisations. This includes responding to issues arising in the community which affect volunteers, promotion of debate, and lobbying of decision makers. Support and training for volunteers and co-ordinators of volunteers For more information on these services and events, or to obtain a training registration form, please e-mail us.
